The Uptown Rhythm Club is a highly exciting eight piece ensemble presenting the very best in swing and jump blues music. Led by guitarist Keith Baumann, the band showcases the sensational talents of vocalist extraordinaire Vince Clark backed by some of the hottest swing musicians that Chicago has to offer.
Featuring blazing brass, sizzling saxophones and a rocking rhythm section, the Uptown Rhythm Club provides an unforgettable performance which combines high-energy jump blues numbers with lush arrangements of memorable swing classics. The result is a show that is guaranteed to thrill any audience, from the younger retro swingers to the long-time fans of the great swing era dance bands.
The Uptown Rhythm Club's all-star line up of top players are among the best around. Having worked with musical giants such as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Mel Torme and Dean Martin, you know that these cats can really swing. The Uptown Rhythm Club has performed at many of the areas best-known swing venues including The House of Blues, Willowbrook Ballroom, Frankie's Blue Room, VooDoo Lounge, and the Pheasant Run Resort. The band has also provided entertainment for numerous corporate clients and colleges including Hilton Hotels, the McDonald's Corporation, Arthur Anderson Consulting, Grinell College and the University of Illinois.

The Uptown Rhythm Club played as both a cocktail jazz trio and as an
eight-piece show band during our Promotional industry awards show at the
Chicago Hilton and Towers in March 2004. We threw thirty-eight last-minute
pages of cues, out-of-book song requests - pretty much the kitchen sink – at
them and they delivered. Great talent, room-filling sound, a connection with
the audience; they have it all. The hardest-working guys in Chicago Jazz!
