The Show Band: Backing the Lance Buller Stephanie Porter Show is an All-Star Line-Up of musicians! Boasting over 200 years of professional experience and a list of credits reading like a who's-who of the music world. Among the legends they've played with are Louis Armstrong, Harry James, The Dukes of Dixieland, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, The Beach Boys, Linda Ronstadt, Al Hirt, Pete Fountain, Wild Bill Davison, Steve Allen, Pete Daly, Chet Baker and others. Formed in 1985 and at home with every style of music, they boast a front line both agile and powerful, backed by a rhythm section that swings so hard! |

part of its continuing support of music education in the schools,
KPLU developed a mentoring program involving bands from 10 high
schools and one middle school, and the participation of 11 local
jazz professionals. The fruits of this partnership yielded KPLU
School of Jazz. The CD project was made possible through a grant
from The Boeing Company. |
