It has been said that blues can bring light into a world of darkness, comfort in times of despair,solitude in a sea of sorrow. It's about feelings of loneliness, betrayal, and yearning for the way back home. It's no surprise that blues is rapidly becoming one of the most popular forms of music -- it speaks to all people. The blues are passion, fire, the burning within our souls -- this is the essence of Leo Labo and the Deepfreeze. In March, 1998 we released our debut CD "Fire in Ice" which hopefully will be the first of many more to come. The CD consists of entirely original material written by Leo Labo, (with one song by Labo and drummer Jason Baba). We have received excellent reviews from TCBN (Twin Cities Blue News), Blues Bytes / Phoenix Blues Society and from local disk jockeys. We consider these to be glowing tributes to the hard work we have endured to get to where we are today. Thank you for taking the time to get to know a little more about us.
