Voodoo Haze is the celebration of the life and music of Jimi Hendrix, one of the greatest and most innovative musicians of the 20th century. The focus is primarily on reproducing the music just as it was performed three decades ago, including the use of vintage guitars and amplifiers to faithfully bring back to life the spirit of Jimi's music. The group consists of three members, just like Hendrix's group "The Experience", which includes Phil Woodward on vocals and guitar, Orion Lindemann on bass guitar and Tom Metropolis on drums. The team of Woodward and Lindemann have an 12 year working history with their most notable work with the Polydor/Dream Circle recording artist "Sahara", a group which Woodward co-founded in October of 1987. Now joining forces with Metropolis, who has had prior success with the notable group "Retna", the trio's skill and musical knowledge make "Voodoo Haze" an absolutely unforgettable experience. In keeping with the tradition of Jimi's music, "Voodoo Haze" has kept the "jamming" approach that "The Experience" was famous for. Most of the music performed is taken from actual live performances of Hendrix's music. We will take you back to the days of peace & love to dig some really groovy sounds. :)
