MAD DASH is a high-energy seven-piece “showy-dance” band, which was originally founded over 15 years ago in Los Angeles. The band is now “wowing” their audiences in Sacramento, Nevada and the Sierra Nevada Foothills area. Mad Dash plays a variety of tunes ranging from rockin' oldies to current top 40. They are real “crowd-pleasers” and it has been noticed that people enjoy dancing and singing along with the familiar tunes.

They have appeared as opening act for the world famous “Little Richard” at Graffiti Night in Modesto. They have played numerous festivals, street fairs, night clubs and have been guests on many local radio stations and cable TV shows.

The band consists of Michael A. Gregory on lead vocals, guitar and harmonica. He writes the band's original material, arranges the cover music and is the bandleader. He formerly performed with The Box Tops, The Stony Brook People, The Drifters and many other popular groups from the New York to California. The band features three female lead vocalists. First we have Aimee Wild , who has appeared all over the Sacramento in other bands and musical theater. Aimee is a “show-stopping” entertainer and recently landed an audition for the “American Idol” TV show! The group's second featured, female lead vocalist, is Heather Mashler, who also plays percussion. She has been singing since childhood and is an award-winning musical actress as well. Third is Elisa Nicholas, who has been involved with many local bands. Elisa adds her incredible singing style to every song she sings. John Basa is the group's drummer and sings lead, harmony, and plays with assorted "toys" to the delight of the audience. He too is a seasoned performer and has appeared all over the world in U.S. Army Bands. On tenor and alto sax, we have Bob Chapman, who appears regularly with many big bands around the Sacramento area. On bass guitar we have Roger Shimoff, who has appeared with several bands in the Sacramento area over the last few years.
