My name is Ron Herring. I`ve been a professional musician for over 30 years. As the son of a musician, my love of music began at early age, through grade school and then high school I was a trumpet and guitar player. Then I took up trombone and saxes in college. I began my professional career as a bass player. After some years I switched again to guitar and performed as lead singer and guitar player in an 8 piece band, "Burgundy Express" for about 11 years. Most of that time was spent on the islands of Hawaii, though we did play all over the western half of the U.S. and Canada and even Japan. I`ve played onstage with some of the greats in rock music. Sly Stone, Billy Preston, the Righteous Brothers, Burt Bacharach, Jack Jones, and even did some studio work for Stevie Wonder.

As a single I`ve played all over the west coast from California to Washington in clubs, cafes, casinos and restaurants. Onstage I use midi files with my own added background vocals, and sing and play synthesized guitar live. Strong lead vocals and guitar solos are my trademark.

I have currently for the last 7 years been performing at the "Bahama Breeze", a Caribbean restaurant and lounge here in Seattle. For this job I play Caribbean, Caribbean jazz, and Latin. But I`m also very strong at Easy Listening, Smooth Jazz, Country, Standards, Rhythm and Blues, just about anything the audience desires, from the 30`s up to today`s contemporary music. I`m very comfortable with any age group.

About 2 years ago I began to specialize in retirement and assisted living facilities. I currently have 55 retirement and assisted living communities that I perform for in the Puget sound area.
