These international musicians create playful, romantic background atmosphere, or shows with humorous pieces and interaction. Background may also include vocalist roving amongst tables if desired.
Your event will have a rich variety of chansons, fast waltzes, swinging jazz, latin, gypsy jazz, 60's rock, javas, tangos in French and English, original and classic. We pair classical skill with fearless jazz and world improvisational chops!
Founded in 1998, Rouge has entertained from Los Angeles' Red Cat Theatre to Opera Omaha, included on King County's Roster a decade, and recorded three CDs with Grammy winning engineer Gary Shelton. They have played hundreds of fundraisers, festivals, and museums across the USA, as well as small local weddings and events. All musicians and composers, vocalist Janet Rayor has recorded for film and theatre, and is known nationally for her stilt-dancing and mischievous humor; accordionist Steve Rice tours internationally with acclaimed Harry James Orchestra and has sold his songs for film and television; violinist Ruthie Dornfeld records with musicians throughout Europe; guitarist Dave Bartley tours U.S., England, Greece; bassist Cary Black has recorded & performed with renowned groups including Kingston Trio, Dan Hicks and Ernestine Anderson.
