After years of living in Mexico with the popular Latin standards, Alma Villegas’ lustful voice brings you an exquisite and passionate selection of Latin favorites. From the bouncy feel of Perfidia to the passionate tango version of Besame Mucho and the salsa sound of Lagrimas Negras these tunes are a rarity in today’s music scene. The Alma Villegas Quintet offers a unique blend of sultry Latin Ballads, bossa novas, and Cuban Rhythms. While other Latin bands in the area focus primarily on salsa and pop music, this group caters to a more diverse audience from those who enjoy the soft sounds of Girl From Ipanema and Como Fue to the brave souls who venture to the dance floor and move to the beat of Mi Terra (Salsa) and Quizas (Cha Cha).

The Alma Villegas Quartet/Quintet has performed at various local venues including: Dulces Latin Bistro, Serafina on Eastlake, Bouchée Café in Fremont, St. Clouds, Misto Café, Mamey’s Cuban Café, Madrid, The Tractor Tavern, El Sombrero, The Sitting Room, Julia’s on Broadway and Jazz Alley.
